Visit to Coro/Cora

So, I caught a ride to Coromandel town with Tam & Nick, and stayed with Cora gypsy-style in her housetruck, and had a righteous week up in the Coromandel bush. The cafe was almost just as I left it, with a slight change of the cast of characters.
Here is Tam acting out one of my favorite cafe moments: She and Mehow yelling at me for not understanding the difference between Car and Cow (pronounced in Kiwi, sounds IDENTICAL)
And here is Cora with one of our paintings. We made four that week and hung them in the cafe in the middle of the night ninja-style.

HAPPY (BELATED) BIRTHDAY TO TWO GREAT WOMEN!

We celebrated our going away dinner and surprised Caroline with a birthday cake... but not just a cake- a GIANT homemade peanut-butter cup (vegan, btw)!!! So delicious it was out of control...


The next day was my momma's birthday... and I love her so... beautiful, wonderful sweet momma who I miss like crazyyyyy...

Tall Poppy Drawing

...So this is the beast I have been working on for the whole time I have been at Driving Creek Cafe. It is about all of the volcanoes here in New Zealand and a conversation I had in Auckland about the Tall Poppy Syndrome. I will post my writings about it later...

GOOD-BYE AUCKLAND! The ferry is off to Coromandel Town!!!

WOWOWOW What a great ride!! And a great DAY!!!!
Arrived at the Cafe! WOW! More amazing than I could have guessed!!! Two fellow WWOOFers, Chris (Swiss) and Celina (German) and their BEAUTIFUL salad, complete w/ edible flowers!!
My home for the next month: A hut in the backyard! Its my very own sanctuary. No power, no heat, no air, no problem! I love it, it suits me just fine!!!!
